Sarah and Andrew wanted to remodel their 1920’s semi to make it more family friendly for their life with 2 small children. The 3 downstairs rooms were knocked through to make one open space perfect for living, eating and playing together. The brief was for a sophisticated, calm, coastal look which would work equally well for adult entertaining time in the evening as well as play-doh and peppa pig in the day.
“Mairead worked with us to understand the space and really listen to what we thought we would like and just as importantly identified the definite no-no's. She then took our thoughts and turned them into a proper concept and detailed plan which took our thinking and put it on steroids! The fact the house now has a luxe feel for a high street price owes much to Mairead's creative talent coupled with experienced planning and execution”
“We worked with luxurious materials in this scheme such as marble and brass, and kept the colour palette pared back working with stones and rich navy blues. I love the resulting look, especially the lights. It's sophisticated and luxurious whilst being very practical and resilient for family life.”
